Mary Mawi
Mary Mawi is a ninth grader at Hancock and has been part of the school community since second grade. She is actively involved in volleyball and is a member of Hi Step, a club dedicated to spreading awareness about drugs and alcohol by teaching and volunteering. Outside of school, Mary enjoys listening to music. She decided to join Journalism because many of her friends are also taking the class, and she wanted to share the experience with them. So far, she’s enjoyed learning new writing skills and being part of the team. This year, Mary hopes to develop her voice as a writer and contribute meaningful stories to The Growler.
