One time, I was walking down the hall with my headphones on, listening to music, when a person walked past me. I caught a whiff of something musty. Rather than saying anything, I just made a face because I would never shout out, “You smell unpleasant,” because that would be rude. You never know what someone is going through in life, and it’s not fair to expose their business like that.
Instead, I would stop the person to the side and discuss their hygiene giving them some helpful tips. Some advice I would give is showering at night, washing your hair every other week (even if you shower daily), and washing your face with a washcloth.
I recommend using Dove Men+Care Extra Fresh soap for showering and turmeric soap for the face, as turmeric helps with dark spots and brightens the skin.
After showering, I apply Vaseline Intensive Care Cacao Radiant, which heals dry skin and reveals its natural glow.
Some really important things to make sure you do are put on deodorant after showering every morning and every night after you wash your body, change your clothes mostly your underwear to avoid bacteria and odor, keep your nails trimmed, and brush your teeth every day in the morning and night make sure you floss at least once a day to keep your hygiene up.
It’s also important to ensure you wash your body with soap and water instead of just putting deodorant on your sweaty armpits. clean
These are a few ways to keep you smelling good and maintaining your hygiene.
Amie Branch shared her opinion on hygiene.
“Shower! I don’t love it, but it’s necessary… and the older I get, the more importance I put on my skincare hygiene- cleansing, toning, and hydrating- keeping those wrinkles away,” said Branch.
I get where she’s coming from when she says some of these things but I get it when she talks about “the older I get, the more importance I put on my skincare hygiene” because you are going to have to start taking care of your body more because you’re getting old and your body is moving in different positions as it grows and get older.
