Natalie’s Nails

Delaney Hart, Senior Editor

She’s only seventeen, but already runs her very own business. Senior Natalie Solis does so many people’s acrylic nails. She works out of a big shed in her backyard, because her mother was tired of the smell in the house.

Solis struggled with confidence when she first came up with the idea of starting her own business.

“With support from family and friends, I finally did it,” Solis said.

After she got her confidence to start Natalie’s Nails, she opened shop on March 7, 2021. Her first clients were only from Lemay, but now she has clients all over Missouri.

Solis got her love for acrylic nails from her mother.

Solis said, “I begged and begged until my 7th birthday when she finally took me to get my nails done.”

Doing other people’s nails can be difficult, but Solis loves it.

“Shaping nails and laying the rhinestones down is my favorite,” Solis said.

Natalie’s clients love her work and always come back for more.

Senior Dasia Williams said, “I love it, she takes her time and talks to me.”

Natalie was always known as the girl with pretty nails. Now she is known as the girl that does pretty nails for people.
